"WE LEAVE NO WASTE"
Part B Treatment and Storage Facility
Wastes are segregated into the appropriate storage area based on compatibility. The
inside flammable storage area is constructed to exceed the NFPA requirements for an
inside flammable storage room. The corrosive storage area is separated by a four foot
tall cement block wall into two areas for the purpose of separating acids and bases.
There are three other storage areas for other types of hazardous waste. In addition
there are storage areas for non-hazardous liquids, non-hazardous solids and used oil.
Chemical Analytics, Inc. is permitted to treat hazardous waste through blending, the
mixing of compatibles waste, and elementary neutralization. These processes
enhance our ability to manage small containers like those found in lab packs.
Treatment is performed in the walk-in fume hoods that are located within the bermed
storage areas.
The Chemical Analytics, Inc. treatment and storage facility is especially designed and
constructed in a manner which meets or exceeds RCRA requirements for the storage
of hazardous waste. All storage and treatment is done within the confines of our fully
enclosed concrete block building.
Elevated floor drain (drain is four inches higher than containment berms).
Bermed storage, staging, and loading/unloading areas; and
Eight inch thick poured concrete floors;
Grouting at floor to wall interface;
Epoxy floor coating that is formulated for use as a chemical tank liner;

Secure Storage
Treatment
The Chemical Analytics, Inc. ("CAI") treatment and storage facility ("TSDF") operates
under a Part B permit issued by the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality.
CAI's facility is permitted to receive all RCRA and State of Michigan hazardous waste
types. In addition, CAI may receive TSCA waste, Universal waste, Solid waste, Liquid
Industrial waste and Used Oil.
The facility was designed specifically for the secure management of lab packs and drums.
Security Measures
CAI's facility is not only designed to prevent migration of waste from the facility but
also to prevent entry by unauthorized persons. Since no wastes are stored outside the
confines of the building, access is restricted. In addition, all windows in the storage
area have gratings. All office windows, exterior doors and overhead doors are part of a
monitored electronic security system.
