Chemical Analytics, Inc. can assist you in the management of your Universal Wastes.
EPA's Universal Waste regulations streamline hazardous waste management standards
for federally designated "universal wastes," which include batteries, pesticides,
mercury-containing devices and bulbs. Universal Waste regulations provide an alternative
set of management standards in lieu of regulation under 40 CFR parts 260 through 272.
These materials that otherwise would have to be managed as hazardous waste may be
managed as Universal Waste.
Some states have included other materials to their Universal Waste regulations. As an example, the State of Michigan has included pharmaceutical waste in their universal waste rules.

Batteries and Bulbs
Chemical Analytics, Inc. will transport your batteries and bulbs in our licensed and
insured vehicles to a permitted and insured Universal Waste handler. The transportation
and delivery of these waste will be documented using a Universal Waste Manifest.
Mercury-containing Devices
As a Universal Waste handler, Chemical Analytics, Inc. can receive mercury containing
devices at its facility. We will recover the mercury and manage the residuals in
compliance with all local, state and federal regulations.
